In our previous post, we introduced a slope stabilization project designed to prepare a mountainside for mining. Now we’re taking a step back (and up) for a wide-angle view of the transformation.

The before photos show the freshly cut slope, shaped in preparation for geotechnical treatment. From there, the site was systematically reinforced using a combination of shotcreting, soil nailing, and erosion control mats — each one applied according to the terrain’s stability requirements.

🔍 In particular:
- The slope was carefully cut and reshaped in preparation for the safe application of reinforcement systems.
- Shotcrete and soil nails were used around the tunnel portal where excavation will begin.
- Erosion control mats were installed on the adjacent slopes to manage runoff and prevent surface erosion.
These interventions are engineered not only for safety, but also for long-term slope stability in a high-stakes environment.
