In highland developments, safety begins with the ground itself. For this project, GSI was contracted to stabilize a slope directly beneath a newly constructed model lodge-style home.

With the added weight of the structure pressing down on the hillside, the slope was at risk of slipping, a serious concern that could compromise the integrity of the house above. To prevent this, our team implemented a proven stabilization system.

✅ What We Did
We combined soil nailing and shotcreting to reinforce the slope. Soil nails were drilled and installed to anchor the ground in place, followed by layers of shotcrete to form a durable protective facing. This dual system secured the slope against further movement, ensuring stability beneath the model unit.

By securing the slope, GSI ensured that the model home remains a safe and lasting showcase for future residents. Even in mountain settings where terrain and loads present unique challenges, our methods ensure long-term security.
