Along Kilometer 33 of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), erosion problems developed on several 15-18 meter-high cut slopes, some of which had already caved in due to excessive rainfall and poor drainage. The previously installed coconets, while environmentally friendly, didn’t have the tensile capacity to withstand the load of the weakened slopes.

Ground Specialists, Inc. was brought in to stabilize the site and restore slope integrity. Our team applied 100mm of shotcrete over the severely damaged areas and installed zinc-coated wire mesh atop Polyfelt TM13C geotextile, providing long-term reinforcement against future erosion.
