Following our earlier post on slope stabilization in challenging mountain terrain, we’re sharing a closer look at the process behind the works, captured through in-progress site photos.
At this same mountainside location, recurring slope movement required a carefully staged approach. Work began with slope preparation and the construction of gabion walls, forming a stable base to retain soil and manage surface runoff. As the structure took shape, additional layers of support were introduced to progressively strengthen the slope.
In steeper sections, scaffolding was installed to give crews safe access while shotcrete was applied to protect exposed surfaces and reduce erosion. These works were carried out alongside reinforcement measures designed to help the slope withstand prolonged rainfall and demanding ground conditions.

Progress on site was often shaped by weather and terrain, but each stage played a critical role in restoring stability. From structural support to surface protection, the sequence of works reflects the planning and care required to make slopes safer in complex environments.
