Following our recent Project Profile on a large-scale mixed-use development, we take a closer look at another key component of the slope protection system: hydroseeding.
Within the same project, Ground Specialists, Inc. (GSI) applied hydroseeding to support surface stabilization and promote vegetation growth across protected slope sections.
Hydroseeding involves spraying a mixture of seeds, mulch, fertilizer, and water directly onto the slope surface. This method allows for fast, even vegetation growth, helping establish ground cover that protects the soil from erosion and surface runoff.

As vegetation takes root, it reinforces the slope by binding the soil and reducing the impact of rainwater. This makes hydroseeding an effective solution for improving both slope performance and long-term site sustainability.
Used alongside soil nailing, non-frame stabilization, drainage systems, and erosion control measures, hydroseeding formed part of an integrated approach to maintaining slope stability across the development.
🛠 Supporting slope stability through natural ground cover. That’s the GSI way.
