Ground Specialists, Inc. was engaged to stabilize selected slopes within a private high-elevation development after heavy rains caused soil erosion that threatened structures above the affected areas.

To address the problem, GSI implemented a combination of engineered slope-stabilization measures anchored by mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, supported by complementary erosion-control and vegetation-support systems. Careful drainage management was incorporated to help regulate surface runoff and reduce further erosion.

One of the key challenges was the limited availability of suitable materials, which required thoughtful planning and sequencing to keep the works moving efficiently without compromising quality.

The project was completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards, helping protect the upper structures and restore slope stability.
